Notary Public, Not Attorney

What a Notary Can Do
Under Arizona law, a notary public may perform notarial acts such as acknowledgments, jurats, oaths, affirmations, certified copies, and verifications on oath or affirmation. The notary's role is to verify the identity of the signer, confirm the signer is willing and aware, and witness or attest the signature.
Signer Responsibilities
Every signer must appear in person, hold a current government-issued photo ID, and sign the document willingly and knowingly. Documents must be complete before notarization, and signatures must be made in the notary's presence unless another lawful procedure applies.
Notarial Fees
Arizona law limits the fee for most notarial acts. We charge separately for travel, after-hours service, and loan-signing packages, and we provide an upfront quote before confirming any appointment.
Limitations of Service
We may decline to perform any notarization that does not meet Arizona law, appears fraudulent, involves a signer who is unwilling or unable to understand the document, or lacks satisfactory identification. We do not notarize documents we are personally named in or in which we have a financial interest.
